Hello friends! I am back with another Swiss Pixie design from CC Designs. This is "Heidi Among the Flowers". I am entering her into two challenges.
Stamp Something -"flowery"
CardMaker Magazine Weekly challenge on the Swap Board: Tilt A Whirl (placing elements on your card at a tilt or angle)

I colored Heidi with Prismacolor color pencils and used Crystal Stickles on her wings. Printed paper is from the Tiffany collection by We R Memory Keepers and cardstock is by Bazzill. Pearls are by Kaiser, buttons by Hero Arts and the picket fence punch is by Martha Stewart.

I'm having a hot but nice week. My son is returning from his class in Italy where he has been for the past month. I am anxious to hear all about his adventure. Hope all of you are having a fabulous week and as always...thanks for stopping by!

2 Challenges - 2 Firsts

I am entering this into 2 challenges:
Stamp Something - Something digital ( both my image and sentiment are digital downloads by CC Designs)
CardMaker Magazine / Card Swap Weekly Challenge - a sketch (pictured below)

I just recently started participating on the CardMaker message board so this is my first challenge with them and my first time to use a digi image. I don't know why I have avoided digi images, but I am glad I finally decided to try it. My image is Laying Nora by CC Designs which I purchased from allthatscraps.com. They have a great selection and wow....within seconds I had my image to size, rotate and do what ever I wanted to do with it. Plus I don't have to worry about finding a place to store my stamp in my craft room. What a wonderful idea this digi stamp thing is! I will always have a place in my heart though for wood mounted rubber stamps.! The printed paper is by Bo Bunny and cardstock is by Bazzill.

Thanks for stopping by and hope everyone is keeping cool. It has been very hot here in my neck of the woods!

Magnolia's Lapp Tilda & my fur grandbabies

I colored this image, Magnolia's Lapp Tilda, a couple of weeks ago to use for a challenge. The challenge ended, didn't have my card made.....tried for another challenge but alas that one also ended before I could get my card made. Just wasn't meant to be. So instead I made a card on the simpler side with not so bumpy embellishments so that I could use it as a note card to send to my friend in Canada. Now let's hope it doesn't take me as long to mail it to my friend as it did for me to make this card! :)
I colored the image with Prismacolor color pencils. Used some Spellbinders dies and Paper Shaper punches for the flowers and circle shapes. Cardstock is Bazzill but no idea what brand the printed paper is.

Thought I would also share my grand fur babies with all of you . No grand kids yet but my daughter has 7 dogs....yes I did say 7! All are rescue dogs. Pictured from left to right is Harley, Bear, Bugsy, Loki, Cody, Ranger and Joker. I love this picture and get the biggest kick out of it every time I look at it. One day I hope to have grandchildren without all the fur! LOL!

Thanks for stopping by!

Sunday Sketch and Stamp - Challenge #29

I colored this image awhile ago hoping to find a challenge to use it for but then my son came home from college, company came to visit and I found myself busy. Getting back to normal though this week so I pulled this image out and got in some crafting time. I made this for the Sunday Sketch & Stamp challenge. You can see the sketch below. The image is Willow with sunhat by Whiff Of Joy. I colored it with Prismacolor color pencils. Printed paper is by Basic Grey and cardstock is by Bazzill. Flowers are Prima and both the leaf punch and border punch are by Martha Stewart.

I hope to catch up with all my favorite blogs this week now that things are getting back to normal around here. I have missed seeing what all my blogging friends have been creating! Hope everyone is having a good week and thanks for stopping by!

House Mouse Swap

I use to host and participate in a lot of card swaps. It was always fun to get that "manilla envie" (as us swappers call it) in the mail from a swap. I would open it up and ooooh and ahhh over all the cards all the participants made. Swapping eventually came to a stop for me as it was getting harder and harder for me to see due to an eye disease I have been battling for many years. I usually stick to the weekly challenges now where I only need to make one card and can take my time making it.

Recently though I was officially declared legally blind. So before I loose all eye sight completely I thought I would join a swap or two and have some fun. A paper crafting friend of mine is currently hosting a House Mouse swap that required you to make 5 cards. Couldn't resist joining it as I love House Mouse. I chose a simpler image to make it easier for me to color...went with a birthday theme AND used scraps from my over flowing scrap drawer.

I sure hope the other swappers enjoy my card. I know I am looking forward to seeing all their creations. If you have never tried a swap, you should! They are fun, addicting and a great way to learn new things from other card makers.

Thanks for stopping by!

Heartfelt Wishes For A Happy Birthday

Hi friends! Isn't this Tilda image cute? I thought she was perfect for the three challenges I'm entering this card into.
Sketch Saturday - A sketch which you can see below
A Spoon Full Of Sugar - Happy Birthday theme
Simon Says - Things with wings

Image is Tilda blowing hearts by Magnolia. I colored her with Prismacolor colored pencils. Printed paper is by Basic Grey and N2N Designs. Flowers were made with Paper Shapers flower retro flower punch and Crystal Stickles were used on Tilda's wings.

Inside of card above and sketch used is shown below.

I also tried something new...at least new for me. I have been seeing on a lot of blogs where part of the image is sticking out past the actual cut part of the Nestabilities shape. I love the look of that technique and also found it to be so super easy to do. If you haven't tried it yet and would like to then check out the how to tutorial that Splitcoast Stampers has. You can find it HERE
Thanks for stopping by!

Butterflies Easel Card / Mother's Day

I am entering this into the challenge this week for Our Creative Corner Challenge blog which is butterflies. I really have been loving the easel cards lately and I am hoping my mother in law will too as I made this for her for Mother's Day. Printed papers are by Basic Grey's Ambrosia collection. Cardstock is by Bazzill. Butterfly was made by using Spellbinders Butterfly 2 die set.

This is only my second time to participate in a challenge with Our Creative Corner. I follow them weekly though as I find tons of inspiration on their blog and they have the most amazing and talented design team. I hope you will take the time to check them out. I guarantee you will love what you see there!

Thanks for stopping by and I hope everyone is having a great weekend.
