CC Designs Swiss Pixie ATC

It has been a long time since I colored a CC Designs Swiss Pixie image. In fact it has been a long time since I have really colored any images. I had to stop coloring before my eye surgeries because I couldn't see well enough to do so and since the eye surgeries, I have been so busy trying different things that I really haven't picked up my color pencils that much.  Making this ATC made me realize how much I have missed coloring...and how much I need to practice my coloring!

I made this ATC for a challenge. The background is made using 4 colors of the Ranger Distress Inks. The flowers....well actually I am not sure what they are....is a stamp by Stampin Up. I stamped it with Versafine black pigment ink. The sweet little pixie is by CC Designs. I needed her to be a bit smaller to fit my ATC so I stamped her on a piece of white cardstock, scanned her and saved her to my computer. Then I put her into a word document where I could change the size. Once I had her the size I needed, I printed her out and colored her with Prismacolor Color Pencils. Clouds were made using a die by Memory Box. I pop dotted the pixie and two of the clouds to give the ATC some dimension.

I'm feeling inspired now to pull out some of my other CC Design pixie stamps and do some more coloring!

Thanks for stopping by!

2 Challenges - 2 Firsts

I am entering this into 2 challenges:
Stamp Something - Something digital ( both my image and sentiment are digital downloads by CC Designs)
CardMaker Magazine / Card Swap Weekly Challenge - a sketch (pictured below)

I just recently started participating on the CardMaker message board so this is my first challenge with them and my first time to use a digi image. I don't know why I have avoided digi images, but I am glad I finally decided to try it. My image is Laying Nora by CC Designs which I purchased from allthatscraps.com. They have a great selection and wow....within seconds I had my image to size, rotate and do what ever I wanted to do with it. Plus I don't have to worry about finding a place to store my stamp in my craft room. What a wonderful idea this digi stamp thing is! I will always have a place in my heart though for wood mounted rubber stamps.! The printed paper is by Bo Bunny and cardstock is by Bazzill.

Thanks for stopping by and hope everyone is keeping cool. It has been very hot here in my neck of the woods!
