Just Magnolia - A Sketch - Challenge #48

I'm entering this into the challenge this week for Just Magnolia. The challenge is a sketch which you can see below. Last week I missed posting my challenge card in time by 36 minutes so I made sure I watched my calendar and clock to make sure my card made it in time this week...LOL!

There are a lot of tutorials online especially on you tube for making your own lollipop flowers. I finally decided to try making some. I did a 3 layer flower with the middle layer having Stickles around the edges which is hard to see in the picture. These were the easiest and fastest flowers I have ever made. I think they kind of have a wacky whimsical look to them...don't you?

Image is Magnolia's balloon Tilda which I colored with Prismacolor color pencils. Added some Stickles to the balloons, wings and Tilda's ponytail holder. Hard to see in the picture though but in person it's sparkly! Cardstock is by Bazzill and printed paper is a scrap from my stash. Sentiment is by Inkadinkado and both the leaf and butterfly punches are by Martha Stewart.

Magnolia Easel Easter Card - 5 Challenges

This started out to be for one challenge and next thing I knew...I had 5 challenges in one card! This is my first time to try making an easel card. I have been so intimidated by them but then finally took the plunge and decided to try one. OMG! They are so fun and I can see how they could become addictive. I went simple for my first one but I already have ideas for making more and a bit more involved too with embellishing. I could see making an easel ATC too! I think I will have to try that next. If you haven't tried making an easel card and would like to, here is a link to a video tutorial on SCS. EASEL CARD VIDEO

I am submitting this for the following challenges:
Magnolia Down Under: a fabulous sketch which I used for the front / top part of my card. You can also see the sketch below.
Roses On Paper & Belles N Whistles Combined Challenge Blog: Punch It! (punches)
Cute Card Thursday: Dimensions
Just Magnolia: Easel Card
Stampin' For The Weekend: Challenge #35 Easter - I went for more of a Spring look for my Easter card and was quite pleased with the end results.

My images are Magnolia's Jam Tilda and daisy images that I used the masking technique to combine them. I then colored the image with Prismacolor color pencils. Printed papers are by Basic Grey from their Urban Prairie collection. I used my Spellbinders Nestabilities and Martha Stewart scallop border punch. Sentiment is computer generated.

Thanks for dropping in and checking out my blog!

Humorous Card / Challenge

"Tickle My Funny Bone!"

That is the theme for the weekly challenge over in the Cards, Crafts and Decor forum of ClubCK. I am the host this week for the challenge and I challenged everyone to make a card, scrapbook page, ATC or tag that was humorous / funny. A stamped image, funny photo and or funny sentiment or quote could be used. An optional extra to the challenge for those who want more is to make their creation without using any bulky or dimensional embellishments.

I dug into my scrap drawer for my printed paper so maker is unknown but cardstock used is Bazzill. Image was given to me from a friend so I do not know the maker of the image either...sorry. I colored it with Prismacolor color pencils and used my Spellbinders Nestabilities to cut the rectangles. I also used Cuttlebug's paisley embossing folder and my sentiment is computer generated.

Hope everyone is having a good week. Things are looking and feeling like Spring here in the Midwest. I'm ready for tulips and daffodils and no more snow!

Birthday Card - 3 Challenges

I had a blast making this card! I found this tutorial on one of my favorite blogs that I follow for making a purse card. You can find the tutorial here on Belles N Whistles. I made my flap a little different and attached my ribbon handle slightly different but other than that I pretty much followed the tutorial which I found so easy to do. I made this for my daughter's birthday this month. I am also entering it into 3 challenges which are:

Creative Card Crew - "Celebrations"
Simon Says Stamp - "Mother's Day or Girly" I think I got the girly part down! :)
Stamp Something - "Something Girly" also required is a stamped image which I have inside the card. The cupcake image by Magnolia which I paper pieced part of it and colored the rest with Prismacolor colored pencils.
