Birch Tree / Memory Box Die

I have pinned and admired cards on Pinterest using this same die and similar layout as my card above. Finally bought the die....Birch Trees by Memory Box. I didn't use it right away. In fact I have had the die for a few months now. It was time to finally use it. I have been into cards with lots of "white space" lately. It seems to work well with this die. I was happy with the finished results. I made this card about 3 weeks ago for a challenge during crop week on We Craft Cards.

CC Designs Swiss Pixie ATC

It has been a long time since I colored a CC Designs Swiss Pixie image. In fact it has been a long time since I have really colored any images. I had to stop coloring before my eye surgeries because I couldn't see well enough to do so and since the eye surgeries, I have been so busy trying different things that I really haven't picked up my color pencils that much.  Making this ATC made me realize how much I have missed coloring...and how much I need to practice my coloring!

I made this ATC for a challenge. The background is made using 4 colors of the Ranger Distress Inks. The flowers....well actually I am not sure what they are....is a stamp by Stampin Up. I stamped it with Versafine black pigment ink. The sweet little pixie is by CC Designs. I needed her to be a bit smaller to fit my ATC so I stamped her on a piece of white cardstock, scanned her and saved her to my computer. Then I put her into a word document where I could change the size. Once I had her the size I needed, I printed her out and colored her with Prismacolor Color Pencils. Clouds were made using a die by Memory Box. I pop dotted the pixie and two of the clouds to give the ATC some dimension.

I'm feeling inspired now to pull out some of my other CC Design pixie stamps and do some more coloring!

Candy Box Journals

I've been working on some items for my etsy store and thought I would share some of the fun projects I have made. These are all little books made from recycled candy boxes and drink mix boxes. They make fun and unique journals or notebooks for someone who likes something different. All of these can be found in my etsy store HERE. I will be adding more in the next few weeks as well as some other style books.

Thanks for stopping by to see what I have been up to lately!

Altered Composition Notebook / Prima's Stationer's Desk

Hellooooooo! I'm posting my first attempt at altering a composition notebook. I have seen so many pretty and unique ones on Pinterest and other sites but never took the time to try it myself till now. I used Prima's Stationer's Desk for designer papers. The ribbon I used is seam binding that I dyed and then grunged up a bit for a vintage look. Here are some views of the notebook.

Graphic 45's Bohemian Bazaar Artist Trading Cards / ATCs

I recently had some fun playing with Graphic 45's Bohemian Bazaar paper collection to make some ATCs. I made these for a swap I am in. I made two each of four different designs. All paper on the  ATCs is completely  from the paper collection....some fussy cutting, inking the edges and then backed with lightweight chipboard. Here is a close up of each design:

There are two layers to the flowers on each ATC. Each layer is popped up with foam tape for a dimensional look.

Artist Trading Card / Feathers

A quick post to show 2 of 7 ATCs that I recently made for an ATC swap that I am in. My ATC base consists of chipboard and cardstock. I used Colorbox pigment inks, Ranger's Distress Ink, Neo Opaque Paint by Jaquard , Spellbinder's feather dies, embossing powder, rubber stamps,  wire, floss and beads to make my ATCs. The word stamp is by Inkadinkadoo.

Here is a side view to better show the wire, beads and feathers.
