Mojo Monday Sketch Challenge #88
It's been awhile since I have participated in the Mojo Monday challenge but it is one of my favorite sketch challenge blogs. I recommend checking it out if you haven't already. I love this sketch but I'm not sure I am thrilled with what I did with it. I think if I did it over I would change the crochet lace piece to satin ribbon and possibly tie a bow.
Supplies Used:
Image: Magnolia / Tilda from The Love Collection
Cardstock: Wausau and Bazzill
Printed Paper: Porcelain Collection by BasicGrey
Spellbinders Nestabilities
Cuttlebug Swiss Dot Embossing Folder
Lace, ribbon and pearls from "my stash"
Techniques Used: Image colored with Prismacolor Colored Pencils and blended with Gamsol. A portion of Tilda's dress and bow on her hat is paper pieced.
Completed card size: 5" x 7"
Thanks for stopping by!

House Mouse Challenge 39 A Birthday Card & Simon Says Stamp Challenge / Animals
I have a two-fer....two challenges in one card. The first challenge is the House Mouse & Friends challenge #39 which is to make a birthday card for a boy or girl using a House Mouse or friends image. I thought at first that I would use one of my House Mouse birthday images and then as I was looking through my stamps I saw all these mice jumping around in joy as if they were celebrating and wishing someone a Happy Birthday. So I chose to use them. The House Mouse & Friends challenge blog is a favorite of mine to follow weekly.
The second challenge is for the Simon Says Stamp challenge blog which this week is "animals". I think I have that covered with my 3 happy jumping up and down mice! Simon Says Stamp is a fairly new challenge blog. I would recommend checking it out and I highly recommend their online store "Simon Says Stamp" for all your stamping needs. Not only do they have a great selection but their service is outstanding!
I also enjoy creating my own sketches and here is the one I created for this card. If you like it please feel free to use it!

Dreamy Tilda / Magnolia
I'm cutting this one really close! I made this for the Just Magnolia challenge which the deadline is Thursday at 8pm! Not sure if that is central time....mountain time....pacific time or some other time in the blogging world but hopefully I am squeezing in here on time! I also have to admit that this is the first card I have ever made so fast and completely while talking on the phone. My daughter called just as I started it and we decided I could use the speaker phone to talk while making a card. She turned on her speaker and made chili....LOL! I know, crazy isn't it! I'm afraid if I look too closely at the card that I will see that it looks like I was chatting on the phone while creating. Be sure to check out the amazing creations at Just Magnolia and a new challenge will be posted tomorrow on Friday!

Stampavie Challenge #3 - Circles
The challenge this week over at Stampavie is "circles" and of course your creation must also include a Stampavie image. I kind of hesitated on doing this challenge because recently it seems like I have been doing a lot of circles on my cards and I do not want to appear to be in a rut! LOL! I missed their first two challenges though and didn't want to miss another so......circles it is! I chose a design by Rachelle Anne Miller, Lily and Milo / Rainy Day by Stampavie. I stamped the image on a circle and included buttons for my flower centers as my circle elements on my card.
Supplies Used:
Image: Lily & Milo (Rachelle Anne Miller ) by Stampavie
Cardstock: Wausau
Printed Papers: BasicGrey
Ink: Memories
Offray Ribbon
Spellbinders Nestabilities
Prima Flowers
Buttons by Lasting Impressions
Stickles / Diamond
Techniques: Image colored with Prismacolor colored pencils and blended with Gamsol.
Completed card size: 5 1/2" x 5 1/2"
Stampavie's current challenge ends May 17th and then a new one will be posted. Be sure to check it out. Thanks for stopping by!

Just Magnolia - In Stitches - Challenge 4
The new challenge blog Just Magnolia is already hosting their 4th challenge! This week the challenge is "In Stitches". Not only must your creation feature a Magnolia image but you must also include stitching of some kind whether it is faux stitching....hand stitching....or machine stitching. I chose to dust off my sewing machine and turn it on to do a little zig zagging around my 3 printed floral panels and the circle behind Tilda. I love stitching on cards and I really should turn on my sewing machine more often to stitch on my cards.
Supplies Used:
Image: Magnolia / Tilda
Cardstock" Bazzill
Printed Paper: DCWV
Spellbinders Nestabilities
Offray Ribbon
Prima flowers with brads for centers
Vine / flourishes by BossKut
Techniques: Image colored with Prismacolor colored pencils and blended with Gamsol.
Completed card size: 5 1/2" x 5 1/2"
I hope you can find some time to check out the amazing creations this week over at Just Magnolia....lots of talent over there!
