This week over at CK the challenge was hosted by Patti / ant me. The challenge is called "My Cup Overflows".For this weeks challenge you were to create a card or layout or altered item using a cup somewhere on your project. It could be a dainty tea cup or a hefty mug. The card itself could be in the shape of a cup or mug. I dug through my stamps and found this one with the mice having a good time diving into the teacup. Seemed perfect for the challenge.

Cupcake Craft Challenge 28 - Sketch
This is my first time to join in on the challenge over at The Cupcake Craft Challenge Blog. This week the challenge is a sketch. It is not necessary to use a cupcake image on your creation but you must follow the sketch. I just got this cupcake image last month and used it once for a Valentine card. I really liked working with it and decided to use it for this challenge. I did some paper piecing, added some diamond glaze to the little hearts in the icing and pop dotted the cupcake for added dimension. Sentiment inside of card is wishes for a happy birthday.Supplies Used:
Images: Alota Rubber Stamps
Cardstock: Wausau
Printed Paper: Basic Crey "Two Scoops" Collection
Martha Stewart Heart Border Punch
Brads
Ribbon
Judikins Diamond Glaze
Techniques: Paper Piecing, Image colored with Prismacolor Colored Pencils and blended with Gamsol

Dreampuff / House Mouse
The sketch this week over at Mojo Monday Challenge Blog has LOTS of layers! I was up late last night helping my son with finishing up a portfolio for one of the art colleges he is applying to. I decided while keeping him company I would tackle the Mojo sketch. I challenged myself further by using a printed paper with a color combo that I'm not use to working with. I also stamped my image on color cardstock instead of the normal white or cream. I was happy with the end result and really enjoyed the sketch!

Feeling Rosy / House Mouse
The challenge this week over at The House Mouse & Friends Monday Challenge Blog is a sketch sponsored by 2 Red Bananas. I fell in love with this sketch right away and I know I will use it again...and again....and again. I thought of several images I could use for this but chose to go with the very first one that popped in my head when I first looked at the sketch. I thought of England, the Queen and tea. I thought of a House Mouse having a "spot of tea" with the Queen! Sorry for the poor scan of the card. The ribbon is actually not that dark in real life. It is actually a much softer peachy pink color than it is showing in the picture.
Supplies Used:
Stamps: House Mouse "Feeling Rosy" by Stampabilities
Cardstock: Wausau
Printed Paper: Basic Grey / Two Scoops Collection
Ink: Memento

Valentines - Dreamy Tilda / Magnolia
There is a fairly new challenge blog called Roses On Paper which is a part of the Roses On Paper online store. In order to participate in the bi-monthly challenges you must use an image on your creation that incorporates a Magnolia, Whiff of Joy, Sarah Kay, Rachelle Anne Miller, Alota rubber stamp or a stamp from The Greeting Farm. I recently purchased some of these and was able to participate in my first challenge....yeah!
The current challenge is:
Make a Valentines Day card using the masking technique and incorporating a rose or roses.
I chose to make mine with the very traditional colors of Valentines Day, pink and red. I used Dreamy Tilda that I masked and sat her on top of a cupcake by Alota. I had a really hard time figuring out how I was going to incorporate a rose on my card but I finally chose to use a ribbon rose that I pop dotted onto the pink heart. The designer paper has a shimmery sheen to it that unfortunately doesn't show well in the picture.
I highly recommend visiting the Roses On Paper online store. I was very pleased with my purchase. My items were shipped right away. Shipping prices are outstanding....very reasonable! Items I purchased are of good quality and packed well for shipping. I was so thrilled with my purchases from Roses On Paper ......this is a happy customer and I know you would be too! Check them out!
Supplies Used:
Stamps: Dreamy Tilda by Magnolia and Cupcake by Alota
Printed Paper: Heidi Grace Designs
Cardstock: Bazzil
Pearl Heart: Hero Arts
Spellbinder's Nestabilities used for oval cut out and scallop.
Cuttlebug's Embossing Folder to create swiss dots
Techniques Used: Image colored with Prismacolor Colored Pencils and Gamsol, masking technique, and paper piecing.
I'm so glad I could join my first challenge on the Roses On Paper Challenge Blog. Be sure to check it out and all the awesome creations!

Be Mine Heart and Sole / House Mouse
My craft room is clean and organized and I'm back to crafting! Just in time too to join in on this week's challenge over at the House Mouse and Friends Challenge Blog. The challenge this week is to make a Valentine using a House Mouse or friend image on your valentine. I chose to use "Be Mine Heart and Sole" with Monica. I also decided to make a trifold card with a window.
This is the first opening showing the window from the front of the card now on the left and Monica on the right.
This view shows the card completely open with sentiment now showing. I left the far right of the card blank to be able to write my own special message. I also made a matching envelope with Monica also on it as shown above in the picture.
Supplies Used:
Stamp / Image: House Mouse "Be Mine Heart and Sole" by Stampabilities
Stamp / Sentiment: Hero Arts
Printed Paper: Heidi Grace Designs
Pink Cardstock: "Bling In The Pink" by Bazzil
Windows and scallops created with Spellbinder's Nestabilities
Hearts made with a Sizzix die

Techniques: Image colored with Prismacolor Colored Pencils and Gamsol
I'm happy to be back crafting away in my "clean" craft room! Be sure to take some time to check out the other fabulous valentines over at the House Mouse & Friends Challenge Blog!
